Jeremiah Steen
Senior Coordinator, Institutional Giving
Jeremiah joined the Music Will Institutional Giving Team in March 2023. In this role, Jeremiah will use his past experience in fundraising, grant writing, and communications for youth, community and arts nonprofits to manage a portfolio of existing foundation supporters for Music Will, while also helping to author requests for new supporters.
Jeremiah believes that every young person should have exposure to arts and culture— especially music, because it will give them the ability to think outside of the box.
A servant leader at heart, when Jeremiah is not working in service of Music Will’s community of teachers and students, he serves on multiple community-based organization boards and steering committees, including: TrashMob.exo, Friends of the Rouge and Detroit Audubon, Skillman Foundation, Michigan Nonprofit Association and The Soul of Philanthropy —Michigan (TSOP). He is also Vice-Charman for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Detroit (AFP) and the Founder and Executive Director of the Steen Foundation.
Music will will tap your untapped potential.
