Clare Dunn Makes a Special Tour Stop to Deliver Brand-New Instruments and Jam with Students at Mt. View Elementary School
Nashville, TN –– Country music rising star, Clare Dunn, is making a special tour stop at Mt. View Elementary School to deliver brand-new acoustic guitars, entertain and visit with students. The instrument donation will bolster Mt. View Elementary’s music program and make it possible for more kids to unleash their inner music-makers.
Named “One to Watch” by Billboard, Rolling Stone and USA Today, Dunn is a dynamic performer who has garnered critical praise for her impressive guitar work. In addition to making this special delivery, she will jam with students, offer a masterclass and discuss what it’s like to be a professional musician. The visit is in celebration of the national nonprofit Music Will reaching the astounding milestone of enriching the lives of more than 500,000 students in underfunded schools by providing them free instruments and music lessons rooted in the popular music that they know and love.
Music Will is dedicated to transforming lives by restoring, expanding, and innovating music education in our schools. Working in partnership with Metro Nashville Public Schools Music Makes Us initiative, The organization partners with public school districts to train teachers to run its innovative Modern Band curriculum, and donates all the accompanying instruments and resources necessary to teach popular music in a way that empowers students to experience instant achievement. What began as a single after-school guitar class has since exploded into a national movement that brings free, weekly music lessons to over 250,000 public school children through the efforts of more than 1,700 teachers in 124 school districts nationwide. Music Will launched its free program in Metro Nashville Public Schools in 2005, and now serves nearly 6,000 kids in 30 schools in the district.
